Our Mission

The main mission of the Religious Education Program (REP) of St. Joseph and Holy Trinity is to assist parents in the religious, moral, and spiritual formation of their children. Parents are the primary educators of their children, teaching by word and example. Our parish catechists support the parents and students by providing quality religious education in a nurturing, faith-filled environment. Through the cooperative effort of parents, catechists, and students, our children will grow in their love for God and knowledge of their Catholic faith, develop their God-given gifts and talents, and live as contributing, respectable citizens through their commitment to service as Catholic Christians; along with other acts of kindness projects.

Children will be prepared to receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation. A child’s grade level in the public school system may or may not be the same level as his/her Catechism class.

Safe Environment Policy

In accordance with the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People established by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), each Diocese must establish a Safe Environment Program. Clergy and all members of the community in positions of trust are required to comply with this Charter. All adults who serve in a supervisory capacity with children comply with a periodic background check, and participate in the VIRTUS Programs of the National Catholic Risk Retention Group, Inc. (virtusonline.org) for the advocacy of a child-safe environment. All staff and volunteers, including youth helpers, who serve in ministries with children are required to sign a Code of Ethics which include guidelines in adult/child interactions. Parents and children are provided with information to promote child safety awareness, including child abuse reporting procedures.

Want to find lasting peace that only comes from God?

It’s not too late to join the Catholic Church. We offer group classes, called RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults), and RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children), for persons wishing to convert, or return, to the Catholic Church. RCIC classes are for children/youth who have not received Baptism beyond 7 years of age; First Communion and Confirmation for children/youth in Fourth Grade or older. You are welcome to join us to know more about the Catholic Faith!
